Assistance connecting UCM 7 to a UC540 over VPN WAN

My headquarters site utilizes a UCM verison 7.1.5 with a 5 digit extension while my branch site uses a UC540 with 3 digit.  Both sites talk just fine but i'm a little grey on how to get them to talk to each other via extension. Does anybody have any articles or "how to's" they could provide? Or just general recomendations? 

I know how to do the route patterns .. i'm just not sure how to setup the link between the two devices.

Setup an IPSEC VPN between the two sites.  Then setup dial-peers with the destination-pattern being the extension scheme for each site. 

Also, set the session target for each dial-peer to the ipv4 of the data vlan

dial-peer voice xxx voip

destination-pattern 3..

session target ipv4:10.10.10.10

dial-peer voice xxx voip

destination-pattern 5....

session target ipv4:20.20.20.20

You can also setup the incoming dial-peers for each site.  Let me know if you need any further help!
