Auto Attendant on BE3000

How many levels of auto attendant are supported on the BE3000? How many auto attendants are supported on the BE3000?

There is one AA supported with BE3K. The AA is single level. It is on our roadmap in an upcoming release to support multiple auto-attendants including multi-level support.

Are there any work arounds if you need multi-level AA?

No, there are no workarounds.

However, multi-levelAA support is in feature list for upcoming 8.6.5 list, for which we have started planning.

Hi Sanjay,

   Could we not use the "Caller Input" on a user voicemail as a work around for no multilevel AA? The main AA option one could point to voicmail of extension 2222 (as an example) that has caller input's programmed. This would be like a multi level AA.

   Have you tried that?

Not sure I understand that. When a caller calls and hits someone's voicemail, options for call handlers are related to voicemail options, like recording a voicemail, deleting it, forwarding it etc.

The AA call handlers are not invoked when user has to leave a voicemail.

Have you figured out a way to support multi-level AA using it?

Hey Sanjay,

   I am recommending using the voicemail as a limited work around to add an extra layer to the Auto Attendant.

   The scenario is calls terminate on the AA. One level open or closed voice prompt.

   If you know the extension of the person you are trying to reach, you may enter it at any time.

   For the Fitness department, please press 1.

   Option 1 is transferred to extension 3055 (as an example). The phone rings because it's the fitness department. If no answer, call is transferred to voicemail.

   Voicemail answers the call, "Thank-you for calling the Fitness department, for Mens Fitness, press 1. For Womens Fitness, please press 2 or wait for the beep to leave a message in the general mailbox. (This is useful for both departments)

   The voicemail for user "Fitness" has Caller Input programmed when option 1 is pressed, transfer to extension 3056 (Men's Fitness), rings the phone (Same phone that has Ext-3055). No answer, transfer to voicemail.

   The voicemail for user "Fitness" again has Caller Input programmed when option 2 is pressed , transfer to extension 3057 (Women's Fitness), rings the phone. No answer, transfer to voicemail.

   To summarize.

   The AA has one level. Pressing option 1 directs the caller to an extension on a set where the user can direct the call. If no answer, the voicemail has caller inputs that will seem to the caller as if they are still in the auto attendant.

When is the 8.6.5 release due to be released?

Mulitple level AA has been prioritied high in next release.  8.6.5 release is targed to be ready early next year. But date are subject to change.
