BE6K VMware license for secondary server

If a customer purchases a redundant server for BE6K do they use the same hypervisor serial number for the second server?

Only a single hypervisor was ordered originally and a second was ordered via PUT, but the serial numbers are the same. Is this expected?

The VMware Hypervisor Serial Number is same for primary server as well as redundant server.
