Block some menupoints SPA 500 series

Hi there,

one question. Is it possible to block some specific points at the phonemenu. E.g. configuration, network, user preferences, etc.

The point is, that I only want to use the webfrontend to configure the phones...

Thanks

Joe

You'll want to reference the provisioning guide and admin guide for the spa500 phones.  Look for it on cisco.com.  It will show how to send the user login parameters to read only, read/write or no access.

Joe, I am looking for the same information if you find it.  To be clear:

I want to simplify the user experience and prevent users from accessing settings on the phones.  Call history and directories are all my users need to access.  In the perfect world I would like to bring the directories to the main page to save some of the 5 keypresses it takes to get to the corporate directory.

I can do most of what I need, like you, in the WebUI.

Thanks,

William.

oops!  forgot to mention, my phones are setup in SCCP mode, not SIP.
