Busy tone issue at UC540

Safar Safarov

Hi Gents,

I purchased a new UC540-FXO-K9 couple of days ago. And faced with the following issue: if calls are being originated from outside to the PBX and ended for any reason at originator's side, then disconnection doesn't occur, i.e. PBX keeps ringing. If I pick up a phone at the moment, there is busy tone until reset by City POTS Station.

So I would like to know if there is any way to manage detailed config of FXO so that PBX would "understand" tones sent by POTS Station. Except this everything is ok, i.e. calls can be originated from Office to any destination. At the call end (if originated from Office) there are no issues.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Bongsu,

Thanks to your reply. I will check and post results tomorrow.

Hi, unfortunately it didn't help. However I have found the following document:

http://www.cisco.com/image/gif/paws/8120/fxo_disconnect.pdf

I will go through solutons described and will post the one that helped to solve the issue.

BR,

Safar.
