I have a client that just went from a big-brother system (Cisco Call-Manager) to a UC560. Now most of the stuff that the big brother does can be replicated on the UC560. One of the features they had on big-brother was "calling party transformation" or "translation masks". This feature I have had problems replicating on the UC560. When a caller dials 585-7401 to reach my client, I need the caller ID at my client to say "7401" instead of the caller's home phone number. This alerts the staff that someone called the "585-7401" line and only certain people answer it. This UC560 has a PRI trunk. One trick I can do is assign a second extension to button two on the 7942 phone, and use that extension in the call blast group for 585-7401. I would really like to know if there's a better way to do it with voice translation rules or some other trick in CME.
Thank you much and I hope there are folks still out there hacking away with the CLI and making these phone systems work!
