can we have more than one stream of MOH on a uc540?

I have a client that has bought a uc540 and wants his two depts to have a diffrent source of MOH. Is it possible?

You can configure up to 5 music on hold groups and 6 music on hold sources total (the default MoH source, which is CCA configurable, plus the 5 MoH groups) on the UC540 if you are using audio files uploaded to the UC540 unit for music on hold. Here are the limitations for using multiple music on hold sources on the UC500 platform:

  • The UC500 must be running the 8.0.0 software pack or later to use more than one music on hold audio source.
  • G.711 mu-law audio files uploaded to the UC500 flash memory must be used for the additional music on hold audio sources.
  • CLI must be used to configure the additional music on hold audio sources. The Music on Hold dialog box in CCA has not yet been updated to reflect the enhancements made in CME 8.0.

I heard this being discussed for CME but have not seen it discussed for UC500....

Will ask around, but dont think so.
