Conflicting License Information

Hey guys, I'm new to the UC500 series but I know the UC560 comes licensed by default for 16 users, as the output of "show license" confirms on my client's box:

License Store: Primary License Storage

StoreIndex: 0           Feature: uc-user                           Version: 1.0

License Type: Permanent

License State: Active, In Use

Lock type: Node locked

Vendor info: <Hidden for privacy>

License Addition: Exclusive

License Generation version: 0x8100000

License Count: 16/16/0  (Active/In-use/Violation)

License Priority: Medium

License Store: Built-In License Storage

StoreIndex: 0           Feature: uc-user                           Version: 1.0

License Type: Evaluation

License State: Inactive

Evaluation total period: 8  weeks 4  days

Evaluation period left: 0  minute  0  second

Period used: 8  weeks 4  days

Lock type: Non Node locked

Vendor info:

License Addition: Additive

License Generation version: 0x8100000

License Count: 104/0/0  (Active/In-use/Violation)

License Priority: Low

Strangely enough though when I go into CCA the "Licensing" section says I have 30 perpetual licences.  What's going on here?

Re:Conflicting License Information

Hi Phil,

16 user License was the default amount, however from time to time Cisco whip out their charity hand and extend the default license count on the appliances, normally when they change the maximum amount if users the box can handle :-)

I would suggest you upgrade the system to the latest Software Pack and spans then get CCA to look at it again, you may get that free upgrade :-) Or there is just a bug in the license reporting LOL!!

Re:Conflicting License Information

David, my client is in the unfortunate situation where their previous partner registered all of the gear under the partner name instead of the client name and then disappeared so I haven't yet been able to get the service contracts associated with my CCO ID so I can download new software.

I think it's running pretty new software anyway though:

Re:Conflicting License Information

Your UC500 licensing is normal, 24 standard + 6 bonus = 30.

Running software is the one immediately before latest.

To download new software, irrelevant of contract status. just follow the link from 'UC500 SWP" in documents section..
