I recently bought a CP-8831 IP conference phone to add to our office that is running a UC320W IP phone system. When I connect the new phone to the system the lcd display just reads "phone not registered" and does not come up on the web gui. I was told this phone was compatible with our system. The UC320W is running the most recent firmware. Is there something else that needs to be updated for this phone to be recognized?

I'm afraid you were informed incorrectly - only SPA series phones (and not even all of them..) are supported.

Thanks for the reply Steve. That is unfortunate that this phone will not work with our system. Is there a conference phone that is compatible with our UC320 system?

It'd have to be something on one of the analogue ports sadly. Cisco never provided an IP conference phone for the UC320 :(
