Default Area Code issues for London numbers

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help?

I am trying to set up a US320 (for the first time).

The numbers to be used are London (UK) numbers in the following format

0208 xxx xxxx

So I have the Region to "United Kingdom",the and the Dial Plan to "Local calls are 7 Digits"

However it will not accept the 0208 as the default area code , it would appear to only accept a value in the format (01xx)

Am I missing something ?

Any help woud be greatfully received

Thanks

Nigel

That should say UC320W and not US320 !

Nigel,

I just sent you an email with details and PMF files for multiple length UK dial plans.

Reagrds,

Randy

Hi Randy,

This PMF may help a problem I have but I cannot see it on the PMF clearing page. Can you email me details too.

Thanks,

Nick

Nick,

Please email me at rbordner@cisco.com and I will forward the PMF to you to try.

If they resolve your dialing issues I will have them published for downloading.

Randy

London uses 8-digit local dialling. This change occurred in April 2000.

Cisco has a guide to the UK number plan here:

Number formats for the UK vary by area code and number type. This covers the lot:
