In my previous post, I am asking about SIP attacks/scans. Which has left me wondering if we need a dedicated firewall between the UC320W and our internet connection. Given the setup below, do you have recommendations on what firewall I should be researching?
- small office with 10 computers and 10 cisco SPA508G phones.
- Cisco SB200-26 managed switch
- Cisco UC320W unified communications server
- no VPN necessary
- no wireless networking necessary.
- connection to 20Mb DSL ( dsl modem in bridge mode )
- UC320W in Blended Mode (FXO and SIP trunk)
- topology: UC320W is routing voice and data
I am not a network engineer (software's my day job) and really liked that the 320 configured my switch for me and took care of the vlans, etc. I'd like to preserve that simplicity if possible.
Thank you for your help,
Todd
