Help! X shows on Phone Screen after boot

I have a Cisco 521 that is connected to a UC520 system.

When the phone boots, it says initializing network, and successfully gets an IP via DHCP, but then phone just shows an X on the screen.

Can anyone please help me troubleshoot this means?

Have you tried adding the phone manually in CCA?

Sometimes the X is just because the phone hasn't been assigned an extension yet...

Take the MAC address, and add it in the User tab of CCA. Unless it already appears in there as Unassigned, in that case, simply configure a user on it.

If it is already been added/configured, then ... sorry, I don't know!
