How does one record a call to a USB drive in 7.5.1a?

We have SPA525G2s running firmware 7.5.1a with SIP call setup and I was wondering how exactly to record a call using the new feature that allows calls to be recorded to a connected USB drive.

Hi Charles,

USB recording is independent of the call control. Configure, use, and listen on a SPA525G2 as follows:

  1. Setup > User Preferences > Call Record Configuration > select to enable > save
  2. Install a USB key into the SPA525G2
  3. Place a call to/from the SPA525G2
  4. Right-navigation button to see additional softkeys
  5. Press RecNow softkey to start recording
  6. Recording automatically stops once call is complete or you can stop with the stop softkey [right-navi press to see the key]
  7. Listen to the recordings by pressing Setup > Call Recordings
