I have an analog phone on a FXS port - and I'd like it to be able to go offhook and make outbound calls without having to dial 9 first.
This phone has no need to dial other extensions ... it just makes calls outbound to the PSTN.
Outbound to PSTN is over SIP trunk.
If I configure:
ephone-dn 298
trunk 9
... and go offhook, I get silence, but it does seem to let me make the outbound call without dialling 9.
But ideally, I need the phone to give the user dial tone, and allow them to dial directly outbound without the 9. So should be transparent to the user that they are even on a phone system.
Any way to do this?
