Installing OpenSSL in Cisco Unified Provisioning Manager 8.6 on Linux

Hi Guys

I have a problem. I´m following the configuration guide for Installing OpenSSL and Generating a Certificate for Cisco Unified Provisioning Manager 8.6 on Linux, but I can´t find the install-directory/httpd and /opt/cupm directory, to upload the OpenSSL zip files.

Any idea?

Hi, I´ve performed but the answer was:

.."I am sorry to say that PDI does not support network managment / monitoring apps yet so won't be able to assist you with the case"..

PDI is not the same as TAC.  PDI is for helping parters with questions before the sale.  TAC helps with technical assistance during installation and operation of the system.  Please use the link I posted above and click Contacts/Support Cases to open a request with TAC.  You will need your registered and active support contract number.

Hi Christian,

Are you referring to the UPM Business Edition product that ships with the BE6000?

It sounds like you have the zip from the install media.

To copy those files over:

1. SSH to the IP address of the UPM BE server and log in as root (using the root password you configured during installation).

2. Copy over the ZIP file using FTP for example

3. Unzip the file (unzip OpenSSL-0.9.8s-Linux_CUPM9.0BE.zip)

4. You can then copy over the files to /opt/cupm/httpd/  (from the expanded OpenSSL-0.9.8s-Linux_P90X directory, use "cp -r * /opt/cupm/httpd/"

You can then continue with the instructions from the Quick Start Guide to set privileges for the openssl file a generate the certificates.

BTW - don't forget to replace "install-directory" with "/opt/cupm"
