Intercom on SPA 9000

Hi there, I have a question in regards to intercom and shared lines.

SPA 400 1.1.2.2

SPA 9000 6.1.5

SPA 942 6.1.3(a

SPA 922 6.1.3(a)

I have spa 9000, 400 combo with 2 x spa 942 and 2 x spa 922

Extension list

ext 100 spa942 (shared line apps 101,102,106)

ext 101 spa 942 (shared line apps 100,102,106)

ext 102 spa 922

ext 106 spa 922

In this example I try to intercom by using vertical service code *96102 from ext 100.

If all phones are idle, the intercom call appears at ext 101, NOT intended target of 102.

If ext 101 is busy or in DND, then the intercom call goes to intended target of 202. The same thing happens if I try to intercom 102 from 106.

Any ideas?

Hi Terry;

SPA9000 does not support intercom to shared lines. In this case, my suggestion would be to use hunt groups instead of shared lines (hunt groups serves for incoming call handling very much like the shared lines - with the known differences). That way you can have intelligent incoming call routing (hunt groups) + shared lines on the SPA9000.

Regards

Thanks for that. Again, I thought as much.
