IP Phone SPA525G - Third Party Headset (Sennheiser PC320 G4ME)

Hi,

I hope somebody can help me.

I connected a Sennheiser PC320 G4ME headset vià two adapters to the IP Phone SPA525G:

1. 2x male 3,5mm -> 1x female 3,5mm

2. 1x male 3,5mm -> 1x female 2,5mm

The male 2,5 mm side I have plugged into the phone.

Now the experience is that I can only hear something on the right headset side and my conversation partner can hardly hear anything of what I say.

No matter how I increase the volume at the phone or at the headset, it doesn't get better.

Now I wonder if the phone can only create a mono signal or what might be the issue. And what is wrong with the microphone...

I would appreciate a lot if someone has an answer for me, thanks!

That's the headset:

And if it doesn't work out with this headset - could someone recommend a price-worthy headset for daily use, please?

Regards,

Falk

Hello falkr@k2.com,

Here is a forum that list the compatible headsets for our phones:  https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/37241/headset-compatibility-spa303-spa5xxg-and-spa9xx-phones

This should answer most of your questions.
