Lifting the SPA handset and not picking a line?

Hi,

Is there any way for the SPA514 to not pick the first line after lifting the handset?

We have for exemple 3 registered line on a phone and each line belong to a different user.

We want to force users to pick their own line before placing a call but the phone will always choose the first one by default.

I understand that the user can always choose his line by pressing the line key after lifting the handset but they never do.

I had this kind of option with our old NEC system but I cannot find how to do it with a Cisco phone.

Any help will be appreciated.

So sorry, but nothing like it is possible as far as I know.

As a workaround, you can configure Line 1 to be a kind of "unusable line". Thus user will be forced to choose other line to be able to place a call.
