Missing softkeys from SPA50x with Broadsoft

Does anyone know why some of my softkeys are missing from our SPA50X model phones.  For example my Park softkey is missing even though that service has been applied to that phone.  The WEB UI on the phone under Connected Softkeys shows that "Park" should be listed.  Also

Supplementary Services are enabled .

We are running Broadsoft version 17 with SPA504G and 509G

Thanks

Re: Missing softkeys from SPA50x with Broadsoft

Hi robray_sc,

Verify that the phones:

     - are running 7.4.6

     - have softkeys enabled:  Phone tab > Programmable Softkeys > Programmable Softkey Enable: Yes

     - have no syntax errors in the softkey config

Programmable softkeys and softkeys only appear in a phone state that they are supported in. In other words, you will not see park when the phone is not in the connected state.

What may be confusing is the "park" and "unpark" predefined softkeys in phone's web-UI tab. You cannot use these definitions for Broadsoft, they only work with Cisco-based call control such as the SPA9000.

Here's how you can get park/unpark working:

1. Remove Regional tab > Vertical Service Activation Codes so they don't confuse the issue.

2. Verify that your phones  have call park capabilities on Broadsoft, sounds like you've already done this.

3. To park a call: press hold, dial *68, press # to park against your extension number

4. To unpark, dial *86.

Note: if you don't perform step 1, the phone will attempt to resolve the dialed Feature Access Code (FAC) as a local star (*) code which is *not* what you want.

Regards,

Patrick

Re: Missing softkeys from SPA50x with Broadsoft

Thanks Patrick-

Thats crazy that Park doesn't show up while on a connected call but other softkeys too (Conf., xfer, redial, etc..).

However using the feature codes for park *68 and unpark *88 do work.

We also have sccp phones (7940s and 7960s) registered to Broadworks and they show the Park and ParkRtv softkeys.
