Hello,
We have SPA9000,400,942,504,525 configured. We are getting distorted sound when the call is on hold, uploaded MOH file is through tftp server in .dat format, less than 1 min at 8000hz as documented. The .dat audio file has been played and checked on media player, its working. Please find the attached configuration.

Question, before putting your own moh, did the original moh sound ok?
Besides being under 65 secs and 8000 Hz, it needs to be G711u. Is that the case?

Thanks for your reply nseto. I got the solution from Cisco call support. The original sound was ok, it was in G711u.
The size of the file was large and the original mp3 file was at the high sample rate.
