Night service

I use night service as follows:

Incoming FXO calls go to Floating extension 390, Call Forward All to 100.

100 is a blast group with a bunch of phones that users can answer during the day

Night service schedule is configured with 8 to 5pm MF and holidays

Under Night Service window in CCA I have 390 floating extension with answer type "call forward night service" to 391.

391 is an auto attendant for after hours

So far so good.

Now I want to use Night Service Code *299 to toggle night service mode on and off. But it doesn't seem to work! When I dial *299 it waits for some time and then give me busy signal. As far as I know night service code must be dialed from a phone that has a DN with night-service bell configured. Is that right? If that's the case, am I going to have to configure all phone's DN's with this command in CLI? no way to do this in CCA?

Sure, and it’s easy - but it does depend how many phones you need to do this.

In CCA: Telephony - Call Handling – Night Service

Also what I have done is for the user ‘receptionist’ is that I have put in a speed dial ‘Night Service’ with the code so that they can toggle with an available button.

Hope this helps.

Craig.
