Norwegian characters in inputs on SPA504G

When working with CiscoIPPhone XML Objects on SPA504G, I cannot figure out how to enable Norwegian characters (æ, ø and å) in the CiscoIPPhoneInput box – or to be more specific, when hitting the 2-button, I can chose between [a, b, c, 2, A, B, C] when I want to be able to chose from [a, b, c, æ, 2, A, B, C, Æ].

The characters are displayed fine when just printed out as text (ie. in the header/title of the same window).

I have selected UTF-8 as character encoding on the phone configuration, and I've tried both to print out accept-charset and content-type where I specifie UTF-8 as charset.

On SPA525G, it works like a charm. All Norwegian characters are available.

Is this solvable? Or is it a limit on the 504 model?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

We are also experiencing another issue. Translation on the softkeys answer, ignore and endcall are not possible to change from english to norwegian. This has to be a bug?!

Also, the phones are running SIP in both of the issues described here.
