Number to dial outside line?

Jeremy Koch

Hi peeps, just wondering if anyone knows or has an opinion as to what number I should be using to dial and outside line. I was using '0' but now we are using '9' as i just rebuilt my UC540 from scratch with the latest CCA wizrd. i tried to keep as many things as close to default as possible.

I am based in Sydney, Australia and our ISDN supplier is Telstra.

is there anywhere that lists what any standards or guides are in regards to what the local 'normalities' might be for setting up a phone system?

Hello Jeremy,

I believe you may use the any outside dialing prefix as long as it does not overlap with internal numbers. For more info and considerations on outgoing dialplan using CCA please consult with CCA admin guide 3.2.1 p.451.

About the Australian guides you may find this document interesting:
