Polycom Sound Station 2w + Cisco UC320w

Hello All,

We have an UC320W with polycom SS2w

UC320W software is 2.3.2

FXS port is enabled

Polycom has been assigned an extension via UC320 GUI.

Whole service rebooted after the config was applied.

Issue  : No dialtone or ability to call internal extensions from the polycom, unable to call the internal extension from another handset...

Is there further programming required via the polycom ?

Is there any way to test ?

No FXO ports are in use ..

TIA

john

Hi john,

Cisco UC320W does not support Polycom sound station 2W.

Cisco UC32w supports only SPA51X,SPA50X and SPA52G/SPA525G2 phones, and please refer  UC320 document.

For the conference IP phone support, you may need to go with any of the cisco UC500 series product.

Thank you,

Nima

Nima, read it again, it's not an IP phone - the UC300 supports analogue phones.

I'd suggest testing with a 'normal' analogue phone first so you know if it's a UC300 config problem or something to do with the phone itself.

Hi john,

After extension is assigned to polycom,

Did you check that polycom phone has been registered or not ?

on the UC320 configuration utility--> status---> devices-->status of phones.

Have you connected and registered any regular analog phone to UC320 and tested as steve suggested ?

if connected with regular analog phone whether it is working fine.

Can you please perform FXS/FXO loopback testing at Status-> Support Tools in Configure Utility?

steps to FXS/FXO loopback test:

1.connect/loop FXS port to FXO port (any port) by RJ11 cable

2.Go to Status-> Support Tools -->FXS/FXO loopback

3.Select the particular FXO port which have looped to FXS port,

4.Then click on test button, you may see result "test passed" if the ports are working fine.

Thanks,

Nima
