I've searched a lot about it but I've not been able to find a way to "Camp on" a busy line on my SPA504G phones via Asterisk. Is this possible?

It's PBX feature, not the phone's one.

The feature in question is called "queue" on Asterisk. For more information consult Asterisk's documentation or ask in an Asterisk-related forum.

Thanks Dan.

I've looked into doing it that way and I would have to set up a queue for every extension, which I don't want to do. I was hoping the phone could do it using hints, but if it can't be done it can't be done.

Thanks for your help.

It seems I misunderstood your wishes.

Turn on Call Waiting feature on the phone. It will not return busy to second incoming call. No modification of Asterisk necessary.

Note the Call Appearance Per Line option (number of simultaneous calls per line to allowed). Also note Line ID Mapping - it must be set to Horizontal First if  Call Appearance Per Line set to 3 or more. Also set Line Navigation to Per Call
