Registering a Cisco SPA504G on SIP Port 5070

Hello,

I am trying to set up a Asterisk configuration with several SPA504G     in SIP mode. If the Asterisk PBX is configured the use SIP port 5060     a SPA504G logs on without problems. But if the Asterisk is     configured to use the SIP port 5070, the SPA504G fails logging on.

Settings on the SPA504G:

Advanced_mode.Voice.Ext1.SIP_port: 5070
Advanced_mode.Voice.Ext1.EXT_SIP_port: 5070 or empty (tried both)

Advanced_mode.Voice.SIP.SIP_TCP_Port_Min:  5060
Advanced_mode.Voice.SIP.SIP_TCP_Port_Min:  5080

As said before, there is no problem registering if the Asterisk server is     configured to use port 5060. Even if the settings in the SPA for     Advanced_mode.Voice.Ext1.SIP_port is to use port 5070. It looks like     the port 5060 is hard coded in the firmware of the SPA and the     setting Advanced_mode.Voice.Ext1.SIP_port is not used.

If have no problems registering to Asterisk SIP port 5070 using other     hardware (i.e. Siemens Gigaset Voip) or a Softphone.

Have I forgotten something and do I need an additional setting?

Regards,

Roy Damman

You want to register to port 5070.  Then you would enter the ipaddress and port of the proxy in the proxy field like this example.

192.168.42.1:5070

You would put the above ip address and port of the asterisk into the proxy field of the phone.

That works !!! Thank you very much.
