SCC Advanced Client VoiceView

Is it possible to set an automatic refresh so users don't have to manually refresh to see new messages?

Hi Cole:

Yes it is possible to get automatic refresh and also the popup notiifcation for the new voice messages. It does require some setup on CUE:

·         Voice View Express (VVE) must be enabled and configured.
(
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps5520/products_tech_note09186a008067cb94.shtml#backinfo)

·         CUE must be in online mode.

·         A “Personal” type of voice mailbox must be created and enabled.

·         SIP MWI notification must be enabled:
Go to the CUE GUI and select Voicemail > Message Waiting Indicators > Settings. Make sure the settings “Subscribe – Notify” and “Include envelope information in the notifications” are checked.

I made the changes described but I am still experiencing the same problem. Is there anything on the server side that needs to be done to accommodate this?

Hi Cole:

Can you check to see if you have active subscriptions. You should have active subscriptions for all CallConnector Users configured on the SCC Server that have a voicemail box specified.

SIP MWI Notification Mechanism
Subscribe - Notify
Currently active subscriptions: 4
Include envelope information in the notifications.
Unsolicited Notify
Failures in last 5 tries: 5
Outcalling
MWI On Number:
MWI Off Number:

Please, also check that you have to see that you have the voice message notifications enabled as shown below

Voice Mail > Message Notification > Notification Administration

ApplyApply   HelpHelp
Notification Configuration
Enable system-wide notification for
Allow user to login to voicemail box to retrieve voicemail when phone notification device is notified.
Attach message to outgoing email notification.
Enable Cascading Notifications
Enable system-wide notification for live recordings.
If phone is not answered, hang up after seconds. (Range: 12 - 96)
Restriction Table Name:

You can also check under Subscriber Notiifcation Management to verify that notification has not been disabled for specific users

Another question is - are you able to change your presence status and do you see presence updates from other folks? If these still do not work, please send us the PresenceServer logs from the CallConnnctor Server.

Thanks

Hi Shahryar,

I checked back onto the server and noticed the presence service had stopped. After starting that back up the voicemail messages started showing up automatically in SCC client.

Is it safe to leave the out calling function for MWI in place for user's that wont be using SCC?

Thanks,

Cole

Hi Cole:

Yes -- you should leave the call out options enabled so that the message waiting light will turn on and off on the phone.

Thanks
