Hello there,
I have an issue where SPA112 doesn't seem to send off-hook signal to PBX (ShoreTel 14.2) when the connected analog phone goes off-hook.
I am trying to use the "ring down" feature of PBX to dial a pre-programmed number when this analog phone goes off hook. Though it appears to me that ATA is not sending expected off-hook signal to PBX.
Below is what I can see from syslog/debug being collected from ATA when the phone goes off-hook then on-hook.
What can to be done to get this Ring Down working?
Regards,
Troy

1. The log you disclosed is the SPA112 kernel log. It has no value for the purpose of this issue analysis. Catch and disclose syslog&debug (highest level possible) of Voice Application running on SPA112 (see Debug and syslog Messages from SPA1x2)
2. SPA112 is gateway between analog phone and SIP PBX. There's nothing like "off-hook signal" in SIP so I don't understand how your PBX can offer feature based on it. Fortunately, SPA112 supports "ring down" feature by self - despite Cisco world doesn't same name for feature in question. Read Auto-Dial delay with SPA122

Thank you Dan,
I am new to this ATA devices and you saved me a lot of time getting this working.
I did not realize SIP has no implementation for off-hook...
So having SPA112's Dial Plan modified to below worked like a charm.
S:1,( P0 <:1234>) -----> where "1234"is the extension to "Auto-Dial"
Many thanks!
Troy
P.S. Thank you for the comment on debug level as well. Obviously, I need to have some RTFM time on this.

Glad to hear. That's the CSC purpose ;-)

Per SIP, ring-down feature from PBX will not work.
Though, SPA112's Auto-dial through Dial Plan modification worked well.
Thank you!
