SPA303 vmwi and mwi

Hi all,

It's about MWI_Serv and VMWI_Serv parameters.

I tried to use these 2 parameters without success:

spc error: unrecognized parameter name MWI_Serv[1]

spc error: unrecognized parameter name VMWI_Serv[1]

I would like to know if with spa303 I can manage phone's leds.

Regards,

Patrick

I mean it's to activate or not the led when a message is waiting in the voice mail.

Re: SPA303 vmwi and mwi

I've seen that this seems to be done with notify or/and subscribe sip messages.

Does that mean that absolutly all must be done server side or something, like the subscribe message, should be done phone side.

So the question is to use the vmwi capability (led indicator when a message is waiting), I have something to do or not about configuring the phone.

Re: SPA303 vmwi and mwi

Hi Patrick

As you correctly stated MWI is received in SIP messages form server and toggled the lit on the phone, and you no need to configure anything.

What you can change on the phone about MWI is:

Restrict MWI

When enabled, the message waiting indicator lights only for messages on private lines.

MWI Dial Tone

Played instead of the Dial Tone when there are unheard messages in the caller’s mailbox.

Defaults to 350@-19,440@-19;2(.1/.1/1+2);10(*/0/1+2).

hope this helps.

Best regards,
