SPA502G and 504G

Hi All,

How to open pass locked, forgot admin pass SPA502G and 504G phones?

I try used the fw updater (spa50x-30x-7-6-1.exe), but don't work, it is also asking for a password.

Firmware update process clear the admin pass?

How to interpret this?

"If you are the administrator and forgot the password, you may perform a factory reset by entering ****, option 73738#, and value 1 from a telephone connected to the unit to be upgraded."

Hello AntalVincz,

You're correct, according to the admin guide you need to enter the IVR menu by pressing the * (asterisk) button four times, then you will hear the IVR menu and you'll have to select any option by pressing its number and then #.

In order to do the reset you'll have to enter the IVR menu, then  press 3 (Other options) then 4 (Reset) and 1 to confirm or * to cancel.

Please bear in mind that some phones come pre-provisioned by the voice provider and thus some options may be blocked. Also, the firmware upgrade process will not clear the administrator password.
