SPA508 Default Line/Button

HI All

I am programming up a number of SPA508's each with 8 SIP lines. All connected to buttons 1 - 8 respectively.

How can I set the default line (button) to be say button 4 (bottom right)  when the handset is picked up rather than top right button 1.

Sorry, you can't (as far as I know). But you can:

reorder line, so "default" become upper right

or

user can press digits dialed (while still on hook), then press particular line button, then pickup headset

Thanks for that, not really the answer I was looking for.

What I really want is the same phone layout for each phone with the default line moving to the relevant connection

Annoying - But about what I was expecting as I couldn't find a setting
