SPA508G not registering with UC520

Hi

I am running a UC520 (12.4(20)T2), CME7.0(0) and CUE 3.2.1.

We have recently purchased an SPA508G but cant get it to register.

I have added the phone loads from a software pack, but the device type doesnt appear as an option.

When monitoring the terminal I receive and invalid device ID 80006.

The phone starts to boot, configures networking and then goes blank.

I can see it in CCA but cant add it to the voice network and it remains unregistered.

Is this a problem due to the version of the CME I am running?

Any help much appreciated.

You'll want to upgrade the software.  I know that spa525 requires at least 7.0.2, so spa50x should be at least that as well.  Just download the latest version and it should register.

Did you ever get these phones working on the UC520? My customer is looking to add phones and they are also on the same software version..

Unfortunately we never upgraded the system and didnt deploy the new SPA phones either. The limited flash on the system made it a bit difficult to upgrade (although apparently possible), so we decided against it.
