T1/E1 Configuration

Hi,

I recently added a T1/E1 voice card to our UC540.

Its connected to a Optus voice service, which is being provided through a Telstra Megalink Service.

The NTU is connected to the VIC.

I configured the VIC is PRI, and I get an active connection.

I also get the incoming call routing working fine.

The problem is, that theres obviously still some important configuration missing, and I cannot answer and incoming call from the handset.

It rings on the handset, and when I answer nothing happens at the other end.

Then when I do manage to pick up a call, there is no audio.

Some config advice would be great.

Here is some of the config.

controller E1 0/2/0

framing NO-CRC4 Australia

pri-group timeslots 1-16

interface Serial0/2/0:15

no ip address

encapsulation hdlc

isdn switch-type primary-ts014

isdn incoming-voice voice

isdn sending-complete

trunk-group ALL_T1E1

no cdp enable

isdn switch-type primary-net5

You should use switch type primary-net5 to begin with.

Then check you have updated software and look at traces.

im wasnt sure which switch-type to use.

Will net5 work for Australia?

Have the latest software pack installed.

OK, so i change the switch-type to net5

Call routing still works as normal.

however when i dial in, both ends ring, and i answer from internal handset, it says connected, but the other end is still ringing. then it disconnects.

this is what happens in log.
