Is there a way to change the amount of recording time on a specific mailbox that someone can leave a message for? Does anyone know the default message length?

Thank you

Hi Tim,

Yes, the maximum duration for a user deposited message is 10 minutes.  This is not a changable value.  Just curious, what is the use case where they need voicemail messages longer than 10 minutes?

Tim,

Under the Configuration -> Voicemail each VM account has a drop down to select the Record Limit (in Min).  The default is 30 min.

The time limit I was referring to is the time per message a person can leave. The client is reporting that he is only getting 10 minutes per message before cutoff. Sorry for not clarifing (my bad).

The other issue is that when you do bump up the time max to 120 it actually only goes to 90 (according to the status page). This is with the latest firmware.

They wanted to use the VM (with emailed message) as a temp dictation system while their existing system was being upgraded. Thanks for the info.
