Hello.
We've got a new customer with a UC320W appliance.
Old technician didn't leave them the old username/password credential.
We don't want to reset to factory default and then reconfigure everything from scratch (customer is a lawyers office and they have a lot of phone).
How can we reset only admin password?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

So surprised ...
It is possible to backup (and even restore) configuration of UC320W despite you know no credentials to log in ? Anyone unauthenticated can replace configuration within UC320W ?

It clearly says::
In situations where the administrator password is lost or forgotten, this password recovery procedure can be used to reset any of the user access or privileged passwords on the device.

But it also clearly displays screenshot of UI with an user logged in. And it sounds unbelievable that unauthenticated user will be allowed to reconfigure the device.
OK, forget it. Only someone with access to real equipment can confirm or reject the procedure suggested works as you assume.

the UI steps were shown to get the configuration file, which is used to make changes in the password.
The idea is to show that it is possible with the a backup configuration file.
Or can try with default login: cisco/cisco

Bingo. Now I got your advice.
IF user have configuration backup (saved before credentials has been lost) THEN he can
Yes, it should work.
Unfortunately, it will not help to dimensyssrl as she have no backup ...
