I have two UC540 running latest firmware setup as multisite. From one site to another site we need to use a scan to email feature, that uses SMTP port 25.
But the UC at HQ is blocking it. I'm able to ping it, not sure what the issue is? any ideas?
Check access list and/or other security features configured.

Like Paolo said, its probably an access list thing.
To be more specific, I imagine that you have also setup a static NAT for this mail server at HQ.
Which means you probably have a route map applied to that internal IP.
Match that ACL, and make sure you have remote site traffic to talk to that mail server.
Also, there will need to be a deny for all traffic, before the allow statement.
