Re: UC540 BRI Incoming Caller Id

Hi All,

We have a small issue with a new UC540W-BRI we have just deployed.

Latest software and CCA.

All phones (6) are SPA525G2

For an incoming call from outside, the phones display 'anonymous' for the caller.

I have checked in the call debug logs and we can see that the calling number is passed by the ISDN channel.

EDIT: I rechecked the log file I gathered on site... I see the called number presented over the ISDN (so we can match that with the incoming dial plan), but I do NOT see the calling number.

We presently have incomming calls routed to a blast group of three phones if that is relevant.

All internal calls correctly show the called and calling party.

Its not the first one of these we have setup (but it is the first with this particular software revision), the others have caller id working fine.

I have had a scan of the forums, but not turned up anything to resolve my issue.

Does any one have any clues/pointers as to where I should be looking.

Hello,

Can you recreate the issue while running the following debugs:

debug voice ccapi inout

debug isdn q931

Then post the debug output here.

Hi John,

I ran the debug and get the following;

No where do I see the calling number appear.... So it looks to me like the number isn't being supplied by the service provider (BT).

Will check again with the customer tomorrow... their representative today stated that the old system (that we are replacing) used to show the calling number. They may of course be wrong! I really should have tested this before decommisioning the old unit.
