UC540 FXO fix PSTN line outgoing calls

I have a UC540 FXO with two PSTN lines.
How can i configure so that telephone calls always use eg. PSTN 0/1/0 and Fax machine always uses PSTN 0/1/1.

Now when making a outgoing call the UC540 alternates between the two PSTN lines (longest idle?), causing the receiver one out of two times getting the fax number on their display. Not good. Because when they try to call this number, they get the fax machine.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

You need to configure the FXOs to be members of two different trunkgroups. You will then need to configure new dial-peers for each of the separate trunkgroups. The new dial-peers will need to have different outbound steering digits. For example, to dial out out to the PSTN on 0/1/0 you would dial 9+number, and to dial out out to the PSTN on 0/1/1 you would dial 8+number.

Thanks,

-john
