HI,
I am currently using a UC540W and have it setup to ring the Blast group and then transfer to Voice Mail.
Sip Provider is VoIP-Unlimited
I have configured the prefered codec to G729r8, and allowed transcoding. Everything was working well untill, I call from an EE Mobile phone or orange/Tmobile phone and then the mobile has no ring tone and instead of going to VM it cuts off, (works perfectly from another mobile provider and landline etc), upon checking the traces I noticed it was trying to use G711alaw codec, so I added it to below for transcoding, but with no luck. also if i call from the EE phone and answer it and then transfer it to another number and let it goto vm the transcoder shows the call also transcodes the hold music etc fine. also noticed on the sip traces from the sip trunk provider that EE and Orange are direct from EE etc as sip trunks. and not trough the pstn and the providers end. I did get this to work earlier but I reloaded the uc and not it won't work.
any ideas would be greatful.

pcap from voip provider shows the 180 ringing going back to the sip trunk.(I'll call them tomorrow and get them to look into this)

Hi Today I have removed the DDI's from the sip trunk and removed the firewall. and tested
When you call the main number now you get the 140 ringing tone. ()when called from my EE mobile)
I have added in a new firewall (ACL firewall) to the UC540 and it seams to be working with exception to the DDI's, only issue I get now is that once the time expires for the ring group it's not transfering the call to the Voicemail.and ends the call these calls are presented as a G711alaw and not G729 or G711ulaw. I have transcoding in place but it's not picking up the call and transcoding it.
When I called the trunk provider they emailed the following (cut and pasted)
This is a firewall issue at your end.
You need to use either no nat with port forwarding or full nat with stun enabled.
I also suggest you to check SIP ALG and IDS are disabled as this could be rewriting the headers.
as they are seeing a port chage request mid way through the call and a http 500 error on the traces.
any advice would be great.
