UC560 - BACKGROUNDS & RINGTONES

In CCA 3.2(1), UC560 is running software pack 8.2.

If we go into the backgrounds or Ringotones to add new ones, the screens come up blank with a message "The embedded TFTP server can not start or is unreachable." 

There is no 3rd party tftp server running on the pc, also we have loaded up cca on another server, and it gets the same message.  Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?

Hello Brian,

Please check from the PC if you could reach the TFTP address of the UC which by default is 10.1.10.2. The check from the CCA in the troubleshooting->network diagnostics->ping from 10.1.10.2 (defult TFTP) if you can reach your PC. Also try to start the CCA "run as administrator" right click of the mouse.

  1. Can ping and pull up 10.1.10.2 via IE successfully.

  2. Ran as administrator

Same result...Could it be as a result of the software pack 8.2?

Is there anything else we can look at?

Can you ping from 10.1.10.2 your PC?

Actually the CCA 3.2.1 is working with software pack 8.2.

Yes, 10.1.10.2 can ping the pc and vice versa!

You may try to disable the UAC if it is turned on.

No go...

Going to try upgrade to 8.6 and see if it gets resolved.

Brian,

maybe it helps, if you set the default gateway of your cca machine to the UC560's IP. We had this issue when upgrading the UC.

Hi Brian,

I had a similar issue - the upgrade to 8.6 did solve the issue and it works great - client is have happy to see their logos published on the phone displays. Just make sure that all the phone loads and support files are correctly extracted to the UC560 Flash and you shouldn't have any problems. Good luck.

As an update, we did the upgrade to 8.6 last Thursday, and that resolved all the little issues we were having.
