wan port on uc560 not working

Hi Guys

  1. I am currently using a Dlink Modem as a bridge and UC560 as PPPoe
  2. I enabled PPPoe, by disabling NAT and Firewall, added ADSL ISP username and password and set the IP address to negotiate. Enabled Firewall again
  3. I am getting an WAN IP, back from the ISP but no gateway. Spoke to the ISP they can only tell me, my connection is online
  4. I can ping google IP address and domain from UC560 using CCA but cannot ping from my PC command prompt.

Thought it could be some issue with ISP; tried the following:

  1. Used the Dlink modem as ADSL with LAN IP 192.168.2.1 /255.255.255.0
  2. Changed Internet connection on UC560 to static IP; 192.168.2.2 /255.255.255.0 with gateway of 192.168.2.1
  3. On UC sh service status; I can see my WAN IP, subnet and gateway.
  4. Can ping google from UC560 but cannot ping from my PC command prompt.

Another problem, even though there is nothing connected on wan port of UC560 the LED light is flashing intermittently on the port. This is a replacement UC560 I received yesterday for a faulty UC560 I had earlier.

I have spoken to TAC, unfortunately they cannot find out why this is happening ?

I have also added the following commands

ip nat inside on VLAN 100/1/90

ip nat outside on wan port

After the above comannds now my phones are not registering either.

Any help will be appreciated.

Cheers

Syed

Hi Sayed,

Can you please do a "sh ip route" on the command line and post the information up here, and what would also help is a config dump to a text file with all sensitive data removed (please make sure to upload a file and not a direct post if it ).

Cheers,

David.

Hello Syed

Do you have your nat overload statement in the config?

ip nat inside source list 1 interface FastEthernet0/0 overload

access-list 1 permit 192.168.10.0 0.0.0.255

access-list 1 permit 10.1.1.0 0.0.0.255

access-list 1 permit 10.1.10.0 0.0.0.3

Regards

Jeff
