WIP310-G1 boots to white screen but never displays logo.

My company Purchased a WIP310-G1  on 8-23-2010 . It has been sitting in the box on the desk of my predecessor.

I plugged it in today and turned it on and it does nothing. I looked here on the forums and everyone says a logo should appear and it should boot up

but I have nothing. Just a white screen. It has been about an hour now and thought I would see if anybody has any ideas.

Additionally I read thru the posts here and downloaded the 5.0.11 firmware and started the utility it asks for the phone and recognizes it,

then it says upgrade successful but when I turn it on I get the same thing. White screen ...no logo.

Yeah it sounds like a defective unit possibly.  If you call into the SBSC at 866-606-1866 for assistance with that device.
