AnyConnect 2.5 vs 3.1

Starting to upgrade our ASA 5505 devices (2).  Moving from asa844-k8.bin, asdm-649.bin, and anyconnect-win-2.5.3055-k9.pkg, to asa844-1-k8.bin, asdm-649-103.bin, and a new version of anyconnect-win.

I can't find any documentation on anyconnect-win-2.5.6005-k9.pkg vs anyconnect-win-3.1.00495-k9.pkg.  3.1 is almost 5 times larger (~5 MB vs ~29 MB).  I have scanned through the release notes for both versions.

Can someone please provide the pros and cons of using version 2.5 vs 3.1?

Thanks in advance,

Rick.

AnyConnect 3.1 is a significant upgrade, even over 3.0.

Over 3.0 it adds an enhanced GUI (common between Windows and Mac), NAM enhancement, crypto suite B enhancements, HostScan/Posture performance enhancements, IPv6 support, better untrusted certificate handling, plug-in component tiles, etc.

3.0+ offers IPSec VPN client as opposed to SSL VPN.
