Anyconnect image in Flash for Anyconnect clients to login

Hi Dears.

Is it necessary to have an Anyconnect image in the flash of ASA for Anyconnect users to log in to it.

I had a user who got MAC OSX and tried to login to a firewall using Anyconnect but failed because the MAC OSX Anyconnect image was not uploaded to the firewall. He however could successfully login to another firewall in which the image was present. So will this be the case for Anyconnect for Windows too. And also does it really matter which version of the image is present in the flash as long as you have the image for that operating system platform

Thank you all :)

Any valid image for the client's OS will suffice.

If the client's version is newer, they will retain it.

As you've observed, if none is available (and specified as one of the the AC images), the client will be unable to logon.
