The Cisco VPN client is end of sales and not supported on Windows 8.1 (or Windows 8).

The current Cisco client - Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client - is supported on Windows 8 and 8.1. (Reference)

Depending on your VPN headend, you amy be able to update the remote access VPN to use Anyconnect.

Hope this helps.

Hello Marvin,

According to the link you provided, and according to this table in the link; does that mean the newest anyconnect VPN client will work with ASA 8.2 software?

Thank you again Marvin, you are very knowledgable and helpful.

Don't know why Cisco does not provide this download

Worked just fine thanks

You might want to give TheGreenBow IPSEC VPN Client a try. It's Windows 8.1 compatible and easy to use. There is a free trial as well.

Hi Pjayakar,

Try to create a outside interface access policy source vpn pool destination inside network service ip with permit.

Make sure do you have Exempt NAT with VPN pool.

I had the same issue.

Dowload Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) and install

Restart your system. It worked for me. Hope it work for you also.
