Hi Ernie,

Double check the command used, is totally different the "patch" command and the "acs patch". The former patches the system, the later patches the acs application.

The correct command syntax is acs patch install -----.gpg repository ------

Hope it helps:)

Jaime

Hello Jaime.  This is not a patch, this an upgrade from 5.1.0.44.6 to 5.2.0.26 and Cisco says to do the following:

Instructions on how to install the application bundle
=====================================================
1. open CLI console.
2. define new repository in which the ACS_5.2.0.26.tar.gz resides.
3. issue: 'application upgrade ACS_5.2.0.26.tar.gz YOUR_REPOSITORY'
4. The system will reboot in few minutes.
5. After reboot login to the CLI and verify the acs & adeos version by issuing "show version" command.

   ADE-OS Build Version: 1.2.0.182
   Cisco ACS VERSION INFORMATION
   -----------------------------
   Version : 5.2.0.26

Thanks, Ernie

Does anybody find the solution for this message?

Hi all,

the problem is you are probably trying to perform the upgrade via TFTP. The file will be transferred between your Repository and the ACS, however the upgrade will not work and you will receive the latter error message.

As stated in the upgrade manual (although written in very small letters) :

"You must have a repository configured with an FTP, NFS, or SFTP network server (but not a TFTP repository) to perform the ACS upgrade."

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_system/5.2/installation/guide/csacs.pdf

Good luck with it!

Cheers,

Wouter

HI Wouter, I used FTP and works perfect. Thanks.

Check /storedata:
4.9G  3.0G  1.7G  65% /storeddata

After reloading the ACS:

4.9G  683M  4.0G  15% /storeddata

Hi,

I used the TFTP method, it worked perfectly.

In addition to that, you have to use the ACS patch command option ONLY works..

Example:  acs patch install 5-5-0-46-2.tar.gpg repository test

Note: You have to create a repository before applying the above mentioned command.

Config Example:

config t

repository test

url tftp://10.1.1.1

exit

IP address: 10.1.1.1, where you mapped the TFTP server is running..

Good luck, it will work perfectly, if not let me know steps you tried.

Hello,

I try to upgrade an ACS/VM from ACS 5.3 (Acs-5-3-0-40-9 with the preupgrade fix Pointed-PreUpgrade-CSCum04132-5-3-0-40.tar.gpg) to ACS 5.5.

radius/didata# show application version acs

Cisco ACS VERSION INFORMATION
-----------------------------
Version : 5.3.0.40.40
Internal Build ID : B.839.EVAL
Patches :
5-3-0-40-2
5-3-0-40-9
Pointed-PreUpgrade-CSCum04132-5-3-0-40

I got the same error message:

Do you want to save the current configuration ? (yes/no) [yes] ?
Generating configuration...
Saved the running configuration to startup successfully
% Manifest file not found in the bundle

I have enough space on the VM partition.

Thank you for your idea/solution.

Best regards

Bernard
