PPP Multilink IDLE Timeout no effect

I have a central router E1 interface and connects to 04 x BRI interfaces remote router. Each BRI has the following numbers:

Bri1/0 - 1111

Bri1/1 - 2222

Bri1/2 - 3333

Bri1/3 - 4444

For example, I noticed when 1 of the ISDN number 1111 is out of service, the central router keeps dialing this number infintely. The other 3 lines are up and in the PPP Multilink bundle.

Is there anyway to stop the central router from dialing the failed number?

Is there any workaround or any problem??

I don't think that we have any such command which will keep the router from dialing once the connection is failed. The best way is to take that number out from the config when its failed.

Closest you can get to is to try "dialer rotor best" command where last successfull number will be tried first for dialout. It will continue till least successful number. Here is the link for more in that

Just to add, if you want to use isdn interface command, you can use "dialer order last-success". Here is the link for more on that

How long will the router keeps the last successful dial attempt? Inside the DRAM?? Until the router is reloaded?
