I am using Windows 8(Single language) 64-bit, for Internet 3G dongle by MTS(broadband).

To connect my office network using cisco client version-5.0.07.0440 but not able to connect,

it's giving error message "Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the client.

Reason 412:The remote peer is no longer responding."

I tried following solution:-

  a). added UseLegacyIKEPort=1 n profile file.

b). Checked registry key CVirtA, for displayname correct value is set "Cisco System VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows"

but it's not working.

Client is using IPSEC for transport.

Pls help to resolve this issue.

Regards,

Nirmal

This may not be a problem with the client side at all, but with the firewall configuration itself. I had this same error code and it turned out to be a problem with a NAT statement on the ASA I was trying to VPN to.

Check here for more info.
