Sharing analog call over multible access servers running MMP

Our remote access PoP consists of the following devices:

2 AS5400s, each having 24 E1 PRI ports and 60

integrated NextPort modems.

The option of having significantly less modems than

the available ISDN B channels offered by the ISDN

PRI ports have been chosen in order not to invest on

modem technology since analog calls that the network

must serve are no more than 5% of total calls.

In order to utilize both AS5400s we plan to configure MMP.

The limitation of available modems in combination

with the use of MMP raises the problem of how an

analog call will be served when that call terminates

on an AS5400 that has used all of its modems.

Are there any recommendations on such a scenario?

Re: Sharing analog call over multible access servers running MMP

If no modems available for incoming calls on AS5400, call will get disconnected automatically. But incoming modem call can be rejected too as no resources are available. You can configure resource pool management on AS5400.
