Unable to scan documents when connected to VPN?

Greetings!

My user has an HP m3035 MFP, running Win7 on his laptop. When connected to Cisco Anyconnect (and with Local LAN Access enabled), he is able to print from that MFP, but the scanning function is not recognized.

He is able to scan just fine whne the VPN is disabled. This also occurs when Local LAN Access is disabled.

Aside from Local LAN Access, is there any other configuration setting that will allow this feature?

Hi Nicole,

May I know what you mean by "this also occurs when Local LAN Access is disabled."?

AnyConnect version?

Does it happen to other users / machines?

Could you please share the ASA configuration?

Thanks.

Portu.

Hi Portu,

There's an option in settings called Enable Local LAN Access. The issue occurs regardless of whether that option is enabled or disabled.

AnyConnect version 2.5.1025

Only happens to him (no other users document this occurrence)

ASA Configuration? Sorry, VPN stuff isn't usually my area of expertise, so I'm not sure how to find that.

Thanks in advance!

N

Thanks for your prompt response.

That version is not longer available on CCO, is there any chance to upgrade it to the latest 2.5 release?

Standalone MSI package for Windows platforms.

Let me know.

Thanks.

Hi  Nicole,

Maybe using split tunnel instead of the tunnelall with local lan access here is a configuration example:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a0080975e83.shtml

OK, action plan:

1- Is only affecting one user? (according to your description, yes)

2- Is split-tunneling configured? What type (please check the link: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a0080975e83.shtml).

3- If split-tunneling is configured or if other users with the same settings are working fine, but this specific user is still unable to access the local system while connected, then considerer an upgrade.

Please let us know.

Thanks.
